Karen Iglehart is a painter and photographer living in Massachusetts. Her photography and paintings relate to, and influence, each other. A weaving of qualities. Paintings on this site are oil on canvas. All photos are printed on Archival Hahnemuhle matte paper, and most images can be printed to 30x40in. or larger.

“One of the major influences in my work comes from my experience of Buddhism and a desire to create and share a space that is not filled with commentary, or story line. Actually, I’m trying to do the opposite… to create space that allows the mind to rest, or at least pause. To perceive color and forms without other information. Letting abstraction open boundaries. Recently the abstract paintings have been influenced by my reconnection to jazz and especially Miles Davis. Space, quiet then intensity of notes and sound in contrast. “
